Today I’m bringing you a mood board renovation project that's been top of mind for a long time. I decided a while back that this bath would be in some version of black and white. Black and white bathrooms kept popping up on my Pinterest mood boards. I thought I wanted color, but the Pinterest boards don’t lie, and I realized black and white is a trifecta of stimulating, restful, and timeless.

Travertine furniture and décor have been trending hard recently. The creamy, neutral color and organic texture of travertine and similar natural stone (travertine is a type of limestone) feed our desire for creating a warm, cozy, and nature-based home atmosphere. This travertine trend has it's design origins in 1980s and late mid-century design, and it's popularity is likely fueled by the warm minimalism movement. In fact, travertine is one of the top home décor trends according to Etsy. This creamy, textured stone is the embodiment of neutral warmth and nostalgia. I for one, couldn’t be happier. I love natural stone - furniture, décor, flooring - all of it. The heavier the better, am I right?

If you watch interior design trends like I do, then you’ve probably come across a green kitchen or two lately. These verdant kitchens are sometimes deep and lush, other times light and airy, but always with a dramatic green punch. Green kitchens comes in a range of hues and flavors, but what I’m focusing on here is a dark green that’s approaching black. From deep forest to blue-green peacock.
